Student Teaching

During the Spring of 2022, I completed my 14-week student teaching placement with the University of the Arts. During the placement, I was responsible for helping out in the classroom, and gradually taking over responsibilities until I was leading, writing, organizing, and grading several projects on my own.

The School:

I completed my student teaching at George W. Nebinger Elementary School, a K-8 school in center-city, Philadelphia. Throughout my student teaching  journey, I was responsible for helping to create and teach lessons for students in all grades, spanning a wide range of abilities, subjects, and mediums. Clicking the picture to the left or the underlined title will take you to the school's website.

These are the lessons I fully wrote, planned, presented, taught, and prepared during my student teaching placement. I was able to fully write and teach a lesson for each grade segment during my time, though I also partially taught and wrote others in collaboration with my mentor. Clicking the image to the right or the underlined title will lead you to the lessons I wrote and taught fully.

The most fun aspect of teaching students art is seeing the work they create! Clicking on the picture to the left or the underlined title will lead you to my page featuring galleries of samples of work from each project, as well as images from my culminating Student Teaching Exhibition.
