Sculptures

While I primarily work in painting and other 2D fields of work, I enjoy working in many three-dimensional mediums as well. I have worked in clay, wood, foam, cardboard, and various found materials to create works that span across my time in college from freshman year to my present practice.

Rats

The rat for me is a symbol - of something we (as a larger society) view as disposable or disgusting, and holding very little worth. By including them in the art world they are given a sense of value and dignity. While this symbol may be slightly comical, it stands for a larger problem of overlooking that which we deem to have no importance.
